All of the points you raise are valid and concerning and point to the fact that voting in America has become a joke, at best. IMO both parties use shenanigans to tamper with votes. You’ve highlighted the GOP antics. I was merely pointing out that balking over ID requirements makes no sense. Even though ID is required in most jurisdictions, it only takes a small number of jurisdictions functioning the “wrong” way to skew an election, especially given how close most elections are now. I think Democrats are just as guilty as Republicans of tampering with votes by taking advantage of flimsy ID requirements, ballot harvesting, and other means.

Think about it: the entire System is dirty — from our economy/stock market to political fundraising — and both parties are complicit in enabling and benefiting from this dirty System. Why would we think that Democrats are somehow immune from tampering with an electoral system that the GOP is abusing? More likely than not, both parties engage in tactics to our-tamper the other.

I’m not taking any GOP bait, but there are far too many people on Medium who believe there are only devils (the GOP) and saints (the Democrats). I don’t roll that way.
