Hi Paul,

I think you may have missed the points I made in the first paragraph about not having voted in more than a decade and my belief that voting in a faux democratic republic is like gambling in a rigged casino. You also may have missed the point I made later in the article that I’m under no illusion that Sanders can “get things done.”

Let me be perfectly clear: I have no faith whatsoever in government at this point. I do, however, retain a sliver of hope that Americans may wake up and appreciate the importance of electing a person who highlights the true source of the issues we’re dealing with. And unless those issues are addressed immediately, then Trump and his merry band of theofascists will be the least of our worries.

I might also add that if these merry theofascists haven’t dragged me out of my house and stood me up against a wall by now — having had four years to do so — I struggle to understand why they would wait until Trump’s re-election to take action. Do you have any sense of why they might be procrastinating? Surely Hitler’s SS goons didn’t waste so much time when they assumed power. Or is at all possible that the boogyeman you and others have conjured up is only in your mind? Is it at all possible that you fear a threat that’s far less dangerous than the bigger one you ignore?
