I think she’s saying that when our enemy has far more to lose than we have to gain —because they’re fighting to keep weapons and troops out of their backyard, while we’re fighting for “freedom” 6,000 miles away—we have to pick our battles.

The U.S. is still recovering from lockdowns that destroyed our economy. Inflation is raging. Shortages are appearing. Most Americans are operating on life support. And sanctions are literally killing the dollar.

This isn’t the powerful America that was able to rescue Europe from Hitler. This is, as Jessica says, an extremely fragile America that is hanging by a thread.

The timing to inflict “pain” on Russia couldn’t be worse, not just because Russia has the oil and gas to weather anything we throw at it, but because much of the rest of the world—from India, to Brazil, to China, Hungary, Saudi Arabia, South Africa and 34 other African countries — is NOT behind NATO in supporting Ukraine. This is a fact that the corporate-owned, war mongering media have conveniently omitted from public consumption.

Bottom line: know when to step into a fight, and know when to bow out.

Supporting Ukraine in our condition is an exercise in insanity that will destroy what’s left of this country and send tens of millions of Americans into poverty and starvation. I hope that’s worth it for the “freedom” fighters.
