I think the vaccine arises as a potential culprit because so many people (hundreds of thousands, according to VAERS) have reported side effects post-vaccination. In particular, the risk of myocarditis appears to be heightened in young males:
Moreover, Pfizer’s own documents, recently released by Pfizer pursuant to a FOIA request, show more than 1,000 cardiac events and more than 1,200 deaths between December 2020 and February 2021 alone, before mass vaccination began in earnest:

I think further research and a deeper dive into the data is necessary to determine the extent to which blood clots and cardiac issues are a by-product of COVID vs the vaccine. A great starting point would be to compare the unvaccinated COVID infected cohort to the vaccinated COVID infected cohort.
That said, I do believe that long COVID is real. The question is the degree to which it is responsible for the distressing number of serious ailments we’re seeing in young people now. What I find baffling is the fact that I have yet to meet or hear about a healthy, unvaccinated young person who was infected with COVID and later developed blood clots, myocarditis or any other serious adverse effect(s).
