I’m honestly having trouble distinguishing what you’re describing in Russia from what we’re experiencing in the U.S. now.

The gaslighting is epic, the media is shamelessly biased, our “elected” leaders whore themselves to the highest bidder (in plain sight, no less), dissent is practically criminalized, and elites/oligarchs are working overtime to divide the population and set us at each other’s throats.

No American who’s remotely honest with themselves knows what to believe anymore.

I’m not sure when you were last in the U.S., but if you’re hoping to escape propaganda and lies, I suggest you avoid this place. Russia may be bad, but the grass is by no means greener here; it’s just a different shade of AstroTurf.
