I’m Leaving Medium. You Can Find Me on Substack.

This is a dangerous place for independent minds

Like a growing number of writers, algorithms have made it harder for me to maintain visibility on this platform. While that’s frustrating and even mildly annoying, it’s the rampant censorship that’s finally compelled me to abandon Medium.

Over the past two years, I’ve had articles removed by Medium’s “Trust & Safety Team” for spreading medical “misinformation” that contradicts the CDC’s guidelines. More recently, I’ve had an article flagged for “hateful speech” — simply because I questioned the impact of transgender inclusion on the rights of biological women and lesbians.

At a certain point, writers of integrity — and any American who believes in the value of free speech — must stand up to this nonsense.

Therefore, as of today, I will no longer be contributing any content to Medium. I’ve created a new space on Substack, The Bigger Picture, and I encourage you to follow me there. Finally, I’d like to thank all of you for your support over the past few years. Medium began as a wonderful experiment, and I was so happy to be a part of it. I’ve been fortunate to find and connect with many intelligent people and engage in thought-provoking dialogue. I would love to continue my connection with all of you on Substack.
