My God, you nailed it. That’s one thing that seriously irks me about Medium: it’s filled with people who seem comfortable disgusing their prejudice and hate that with self-righteousness. This is the same phenomenon we’ve seen throughout history, but practiced by less “woke” groups — Romans, the Catholic Church, southern Whites, to name a few. It amazes me that human beings have changed in so many ways throughout the centuries, yet we have remained fundamentally flawed on the same levels.I’m so happy to meet a kindred spirit who can relate to what I’m seeing now. Makes me feel much less lonely. I am cautiously optimistic/hopeful that our numbers are growing and that humanity will be ripe for the message of unity in the coming years. Maybe these are simply the dark days we must muddle through until that happens. (?)
