It’s impossible for me to look at the America I see today — after decades of leadership that’s alternated between both Establishment parties — and not see that “government is inherently bleeding us out.” Our infrastructure is in shambles, we’re in the midst of a homeless epidemic, and more of us are hanging on by a thread. If this isn’t “bleeding out,” what is?

I don’t see this as cynical but rather a realistic assessment of our reality.
