There are obviously many reasons that could account for a Biden loss, and the fact that he’s abandoned true progressives (especially Sanders supporters like me) is yet another reason. But I disagree that there is no “reasonable” middle between Trump and Biden.

Also, I’m not saying that Biden will defund police; I’m saying Democrats on the fringes have been strident about defunding police, they have been extremely vocal about it, and those in the middle associate these voices with Democrats, not Republicans.

Lastly, I have researched the connection between defunding and/or reducing law enforcement presence and crime, as indicated by some of the data I presented in this article. I find the correlation to be real. Out of curiosity, do you have data indicating that municipalities that have reduced police ranks these last few months have not seen an increase in crime?
