That is my question, as well. If, as the author says, most of the hospitalized are unvaccinated (which, by the way, is defined as anyone who isn’t fully-boosted), doesn’t that mean that someone who has “maximum” vaccine protection should be perfectly fine? What is the concern here? Why would the unvaccinated endanger them?
The virus is clearly mutating in a manner that is making it more contagious, but less lethal —especially (if we’re to believe the author) to the fully-boosted.
COVID is clearly endemic at this point. Almost everyone has had it. Everyone has also had the flu at some point, too, and it will likely kill more people this winter than Omicron.
At what point will we abandon our COVID terror and accept that people at greater risk should take more precautions, and those who aren’t should simply move on with their lives?
