This is one of the greatest dangers I see in America today: the relentless silencing of opinions and perspectives. In these times of rampant polarization and division, I think it’s really up to black people, gay people and other disenfranchised groups (who are being used to amplify polarization and division) to carry the torch of unity. I get a lot of flack for the positions I take, but I love this country far too much to pipe down and turn a blind eye to the insanity.
