This isn’t about owing anyone a platform.

You’re focusing on the fact that you have read (on Medium) the words I attempted to post on Twitter. You assume that is proof of my right to free speech.

That’s not how free speech works.

Free speech doesn’t mean having the freedom to express yourself on select platforms; it means being free to post on ANY platform without government interference.

The fact that I can sit on a street corner with a sandwich board and express what I tried to post on Twitter is irrelevant to the issue I’m raising, i.e. that the government leans hard on all social media platforms to censor certain thoughts and opinions. The fact that a free speech violation isn’t occurring on Medium does not negate the violations occurring elsewhere.

I’ve clearly outlined the level of influence that governments have on all social media platforms. If you don’t understand how this infringes upon the First Amendment, I’m afraid I can’t explain it any more clearly. I invite you to take a deeper dive into constitutional law to discern the nuances I’m raising here.
